History
DPS Panipat Refinery was established as an English medium co-educational school in the year 1998. It was set up as a joint venture of the DPS Society and IOC, Panipat Refinery primarily to provide education to the employees of Panipat Refinery. The school is located on plush green and peaceful surrounding of the Panipat Refinery Township and is affiliated to the Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE). With a humble beginning up to class VIII with the student strength of 400 and 25 teachers at the outset, the school has come a long way with the present strength of around 1900 students from Nursery to class XII and around 100 teachers.
The motto of the school is “Service Before Self” and its constant endeavour is to impart holistic education with a focus on academic excellence, intellectual & spiritual growth, sportsmanship and aesthetic excellence of the students. The school aims at inculcating in the students the love for learning and desire to excel in life. The academic curriculum of the school offers enough room to promote critical thinking, life skill, sensitivity towards nature and personality development.
The mission of the school is to produce well rounded, sensible and rational human beings who can serve the nation and the world to make them better places to live.
Within a short span of time the school has carved a niche for itself in the city and the neighbouring cities by producing excellent results in board examinations, competitive examinations as well as co curricular activities.
The school was awarded the International School Award (ISA) in 2009-10 by British Council and also has been chosen as one of the British Council Ambassador schools because of its exemplary performance in the ISA.
The school has achieved its best under the able guidance of the founder Principal, Mr. Vinod Sharma who is associated with the DPS Society since July ’94 & after providing his services as Principal in various DPS Schools, he has been associated with this school since April’ 98.
